Football Friday

I have every intention of posting a college football preview here every Friday, but, good gracious did I pick the worst week of college football to start this weekly post.

So here’s this weekend’s college football preview:

this could possibly be the weakest Saturday slate of games of the year.

You’re welcome.

But seriously, most of these games are the final $$ games of the year, or the precursors/tune-ups for conference play.

Most Intriguing
UCF at South Carolina – 12:00 – ESPN
– South Carolina is coping with an embarrassing loss to Georgia. They’re starting a new QB and their fans are jumping ship left and right. And UCF lost to Furman. To me, this game is intriguing because it’s going to be a …you-know-what… show.

#24 Oklahoma State at Texas – 3:30 – ESPN
– This is only intriguing because it’s somewhat of a rivalry game…and because I want to see if Texas is really as bad as they’ve looked to start the year. Struggle-fest in Austin.

#3 TCU at Texas Tech – 4:45 – FOX
– I just want to see what Ryan Gosling Kliff Kingsbury is going to say after this game is over. I also think that Texas Tech could pull the upset. TCU gave up over 500 yards to SMU on Saturday, just sayin. (#PonyUpTempo)

#9 UCLA at #16 Arizona – 8:00 – ABC
– This is only here because it’s one of only 2 top 25 match ups this weekend. West coast football, ick.

#18 Utah at #13 Oregon – 8:30 -FOX
– Has anyone else sort of forgotten about Oregon now that Marcus Mariota is gone and they lost to Michigan State? Oh, it’s just me? Oops.

Cake Walks
#8 LSU at Syracuse
– Can Syracuse’s defense stop Leonard Fournette better than Auburn did on Saturday? (Lol, doubtful) Also, how did Syracuse manage to get LSU to come to NY?

Central Michigan at #2 Michigan State
– Yawn.

UMass at #6 Notre Dame
– The Irish’s final tune-up before Death Valley next weekend. Fingers crossed (well, Notre Dame fans’ fingers are crossed) for no more injuries.

Vanderbilt at #3 Ole Miss
– How many yards will Chad Kelly (vom) rack up on Saturday? Any guesses?

From last week
– Leonard Fournette is a monster. And has established himself as the Heisman frontrunner.
Ryan Gosling Kliff Kingsbury went OFF on Bret Bielema after the Texas Tech/Arkansas game.
– Ole Miss beat Alabama, again. Chad Kelly made one of the worst decisions ever..and was rewarded with this TD. Like, how? It made me feel like this.
– Georgia put up 576 yards of offense and 52 points (and their QB went 24-25 for 330 yards) on South Carolina. Which prompted a classic Spurrier reaction.
– Furman picked up it’s sixth FBS win in school history, beating UCF with a 55 yard field goal and an interception. And it was awesome. (Y’all knew I was gonna throw this in.)
– Clemson survived in its first trip to Louisville. And it took three hours for my heart rate to go down after it was over.

Never change, CFB.
